If you’ve ever been in Florence, the impressions will stick with you for a long, long time. The scenery, the views, the beauty of the Tuscan capital, not to mention the dense history that sits like a veil over the picturesque city… it’s so Italian in its very essence. And just by writing this, I’m already longing to go back.
So if you’re planning for a holiday in Tuscany, this article is for you. It’s not a guide to the city as such, but more a recommendation as to where you could (or shall we say: should) stay. Gallery Hotel Art is located just a few steps from Ponte Vecchio and also nestling the border of the Arno river. Needless to say that this is a prime location in the city and ideal if you’re planning to explore Florence by foot.

La Bella Vita

Perhaps you’re into art? If that’s the case, the hotel will make you feel right at home! With ever-changing art exhibitions by both local and international artists, a cosy library and a delightful restaurant, Fusion Bar & Restaurant, serving Eastern delicacies – there’s no shortage of the bella vita in this little corner of paradise. Personally, what instantly caught my eye, was the elegant interior design that includes cashmere, Asian wood and Tuscan stones in each room.
The hotel offers a handful of different room categories, where a regular Gallery Room costs €330 per night, whereas a Gallery Suite and a Penthouse Suite with private terrace is available upon request.
A small spa, White Iris Beauty Spa, will meet the additional needs of guests in search of a little self-pampering. Located in the sister property, Continentale Hotel, it’s open every day from 12PM to 8PM.
